William Swank went to Vermillion County Monday to see his brother John’s little child that was very sick. It died Tuesday and its remains were brought here Wednesday and funeral services held in the Baptist Church at this place at 2 o’clock, and its remains laid to rest in the Oakland graveyard. – thanks so much to “S” for her great work on the obituaries on this site
